Stephen Mosley, PA

Stephen strongly believes that an active partnership between patient and provider is the foundation for excellent primary care. After over ten years in hospital medicine he transitioned to outpatient care several years ago with the goal of helping patients become more active participants in their healthcare and, in doing so, avoid the unnecessary hospitalizations he had so often witnessed earlier in his career. Being accessible to his patients and active in their care are two of his top priorities as a primary care provider. He looks forward to working with patients to identify their healthcare needs and goals while achieving them in a manner that works for them as a whole person. Anything that helps his patients become healthier and live healthier lives keeps Stephen passionate about healthcare. Everything from providing a diagnosis and helping them better understand their condition(s) to finding better treatment options and helping them stay focused on their goals such as weight loss or quitting smoking brings him great joy. It all comes down to listening to the patient. In addition to his role as a healthcare provider, Stephen is the proud father of five beautiful kids, who keep him busy doing a lot of the things he loves. Their family loves camping in their Airstream, going to the beach near their home, watching movies (especially anything Disney), and they are all avid readers. He also plays the guitar, and he and his wife are a folk duo (The Mosleys) who write songs and tour when they can. They love to play folk festivals with the kids along and can be found playing small listening room venues around the Southeast.
