Renee Carlson, NP

Renee has been in medicine since 2000 and loves her job. She enjoys the challenge of helping patients feel better. Her experience in both Emergency Medicine and Primary care gives her insight into how to keep her clinic patients out of the ER, while recognizing emergent issues that require aggressive management. Her goal is to be the first resource for a patient's physical and behavioral health. She loves managing acute and chronic issues, but she recognizes when patients need a specialist to get involved. She strives to be an advocate for patients. Primary care providers are the quarterback on a patient's healthcare team. Her job is to provide excellent primary care and get the patient to a specialist when necessary. Having a great relationship with patients is important. They trust their provider to take good care of them. Renee has been married since 2000, and she loves that her husband still makes her laugh every day. They have two adult children and a very energetic dog named Silas. She loves being outside, working in her gardens or hiking with her dog. She and her husband love to travel. Their last trip was to Australia and New Zealand, an amazing experience!
