Armaghan Azad, MD

Dr. Armaghan Azad, also known as Dr. Armi, is a double board-certified physician in the fields of Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She is also a certified health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Her passion is to help patients discover the BEST version of themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. She has extensive experience working at a university-affiliated teaching hospital and has been practicing medicine for 17 years with special emphasis in ER/urgent care, Preventative Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, Nutrition, Skincare, and Sleep Medicine. While she believes there is a role for pharmaceutical medications in treating many of our chronic diseases, the power of lifestyle choices is grossly underestimated. Most of the chronic diseases we face today are the direct result of our lifestyle choices, and no amount of medication is going to provide a cure without making different choices. As a primary care physician, she works together with patients to take their health back into their own hands and get them feeling their best. Her motto is “prevention is always better than the cure.” She believes health is not an overnight process, it’s a journey. Many of us have been brainwashed to think that if we want to lose weight or get healthy, we have to make drastic changes overnight. This is simply not true. Making incremental changes often leads to a BIG transformation. In her spare time, Armaghan loves to cook using real, whole foods to entertain friends and family. She loves traveling when she has time. She is a content writer for a monthly blog through IIN where she writes on different health topics. Last but not least, she loves to share health and wellness tips on her IG social media @healthbydrarmi. She believes it’s never too late for anyone to start living their best life, and that starts with their health!
